Travel Information

The conference is taking place at the University of Northumbria, City Campus East, which is located in Newcastle upon Tyne City Centre.

Travelling To Newcastle & Gateshead

Situated in the North East of England Newcastle is easy to get to whether you’re travelling by air, rail or road, and, once you’re here the central district is so compact it’s great to walk or simply jump on the quick and efficient Metro system or one of the many buses.

By Air

Newcastle International Airport is served by many airlines providing direct links from top international and UK destinations. It is 8 miles from the city centre. There are regular flights from London Heathrow and Gatwick. Once landed you can either catch the Metro into the City Centre taking approximately 25 minutes and costing approximately £3 or a taxi for approx. £15.

By Rail

Newcastle Central Station is in the heart of the city centre, and convenient to many of the conference hotels. The Intercity trains from London takes 3 hours.

By Road

The A1(M) passes through Newcastle and Gateshead linking the area to London, the South, Scotland and all major routes across the country.
